Our does are selected for performance, based on the traits that will determine the profitability of a meat goat operation. The criteria for selection are fertility, mothering, vigor, milk production, udder and overall conformation. These aren't just pretty colored Boer goats, they're pretty darn good Boer goats!
The does are expected to raise two to three kids per year. When they have triplets they should have adequate milk to raise all three. Udders should be smooth, high and well attached with easily nurseable teats. The doe and her kids must be healthy and vigorous running primarily on brush and wild pasture through the summer months.
